Texas Constitution Task Force

We are Birchers, and with your help we’re going to track every bill filed in the upcoming legislative session and rate it by constitutionality: whether it respects the limits the U.S. and Texas Constitutions place on government. If you’ve seen the JBS Freedom Index, you know what we’re planning to do. When a bill matters, we’ll tell our members what it does and when to speak up, before it becomes law. In addition to the applicable JBS Action Projects, we’ll track:

What we do

Why now

The 2027 session is coming fast. Bill filing opens November 9, 2026, the Legislature convenes January 12, 2027, and it adjourns May 31. Most bills are filed in the first 60 days. The time to organize is now.

Texas needs you. JBS needs you.

You joined The John Birch Society because you understood something most people don’t: freedom is kept by informed citizens who organize, not by politicians or parties. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is that we are creating a task force to examine every bill and share our understanding with others, and we’re going to introduce tools to make that much easier. You’ll know in advance when committees are meeting, so you can take action in person or from wherever you are.

Maybe life got busy, or the work felt like it wasn’t going anywhere. This is where it goes somewhere.

The Task Force was organized by Birchers, and it runs on what the Society teaches: study the issue, inform your neighbors, and hold officials to their oath. Its backbone is members who already know the Constitution and why it matters. That’s you.
